Turn Down the Noise: A Quieter Fall for Your Skin

Three simple steps, and the people who can help you get them right.

It has been a loud season. Between the headlines, the calendar and the shorter days, a lot of us are running on fumes. We can’t turn down the world, but we can turn down the noise where it lands, and for many people it lands on their skin.
Why fall is hard on skin
Fall is when skin quietly changes. Humidity drops, the heat comes on indoors, and the skin barrier, the thin outer layer that holds moisture in and keeps irritants out, loses water faster. Research has also linked psychological stress to slower barrier recovery. The result is familiar: tightness, flaking, redness, and flare-ups for anyone prone to eczema, rosacea or psoriasis.
The answer is rarely more products. It is fewer, better ones, used consistently. That has been our approach at Keys® for more than 22 years: botanical formulas, free of the synthetic additives that tend to irritate sensitive skin.
The quiet routine
- Cleanse gently. Use Keys® Island Rx Foaming Wash with lukewarm water, not hot. Hot water strips the oils your skin needs, and one proper cleanse at night is enough for dry skin.
- Replenish while skin is damp. Apply your moisturizer within a few seconds of washing, so it helps hold the water already in your skin. Keys® Luminos and Luminos Plus are made for this step.
- Nourish overnight. Skin does much of its repair while you sleep. Finish the day with a richer treatment such as Keys® Reflex Probiome, Keys® Eye Butter and consider a humidifier in the bedroom. We use a Dyson Pure Humidity + Cool™
Ask someone who knows your skin
Skin is personal. What calms one person’s rosacea may not suit the next person’s, and no article can see your skin the way a good advisor can. That is why so many of our customers found Keys® through someone they trust: a spa, a shop or a practitioner who has watched their skin through the seasons.
Our resellers did not simply stock Keys®. They chose it, and they know it. Ask them about your fall routine.
Be gentle with yourself this fall.
